DESCRIPTION OLD STONEWARE WHISKEY JUG Rating: 8 Comments. Made of stoneware this jug is 7” high and once held Heather Dew Whiskey made by Mitchell Bros LTD of Glasgow. Known as “The Gray Beard” it has a nice design in the front of a couple of gents in kilts toasting with the contents in shades of black on a tan glazed bottom and it has a brown glaze top with what appears its original cork. This item is in a sturdy shape having normal use wear, has some minor glazing imperfections and light soiling.
