(8) GARDNER MASS NEWSPAPERS (1895 TO 1902)
Age. See below
Size. 22” high x 15 ˝” wide
Rating: 6 – 7
Comments. This lot includes newspapers that are dated between 1895 in 1902. The lot consists of three copies of the Gardner Journal and five copies of the Gardner News. All have the pertinent facts of the time such as representative candidates, the Syndicate Block opening, a local fire, $55,000 for a new school house and” The Templeton Civil War”. Also included are news from the surrounding towns, court records and lots of local ads. All are in sturdy shape but could have some small tears, page browning, soiling/stains and all have fold lines. These came from the day when you could buy a pair of shoes for a buck, decorative dish sets were $6 and cashmere gloves were only 38 cents. A nice lot that will help you reminisce of the days of old in Chair City.

Also, please feel free to email or call us if you have any further questions.
To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"
**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.
**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
