(3) ANTIQUE FLO-BLUE PLATES
Age: 80+ years
Size: 9” to 9 5/8” diameter
Rating: 8 – 7
Comments: Three beautiful flow blue plates, all antique. One is marked “Watteau, Soho Pottery United, Cambridge England, L Straus & Son, New York”. It has a repeating pattern of a courting couple around the edge with a castle in the center. No damage other than unstained glaze crackle. The second plate is floral with a wavy edge with raised detail. It has a repaired chip on the back which is not visible from the front. It is marked “Waldorf, Royal Semi Porcelain, Wood & Son, England”. The largest plate is an oriental scene entitled “Shanghai”. It is stamped in the pottery on the back “B & L, England” (Burgess & Leigh) and has no cracks or chips.
