LANDSCAPE PAINTING BY THOMAS L. LEWIS

Age: Est 40- 60 years

Size: Frame is 16” x 20”

Rating: 8

Comments: This nice oil painting is by New Mexico artist Thomas L Lewis (1907-1978). It is painted on canvas which is not on a stretcher but stapled to a thin piece of wood. The frame is oak. There is no paint loss but the canvas is not stretched very tightly, leaving some ripples. Lewis is listed in Samuels' 1976 illustrated Encyclopedia of Artists of the American West, as well as Harmsen's Western American and David Witt's “The Taos Artists”. He lived in Taos after WWII.

Maximum Bidding

To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"

**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.

**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
