Comments: This hardcover book is entitled “Gardner in World War II” and is written by Cyrille LeBlanc (Chief of Police) and Col Thomas F Flynn, CMP. It is printed by Hatton Press, Inc in Gardner Ma. It is 557 pages and features Gardner residents in their WWII effort. Photographs of individuals and short military summaries are presented including what branch they were in, decorations and where they were killed and buried. The book covers Gardner men and women in service branches including the State Guard, Civil Defense, Red Cross, USO, Churches, Scouting and the OPA. You will see many names you recognize! A great book for local history buffs. Some wear to the hardcover and mild age discoloration on the page edges but no odor, tears, stains or bent corners.
