1845 COBALT IRONSTONE PITCHER (LOBELIA)

Age. Circa 1800s
Composition. Ironstone
Size. 5” high/wide x 6” deep
Rating: 7
Comment. The bottom of this pitcher is marked” Ironstone, Lobelia, G. Phillips, Longport”. It has a large loop handle, a six – sided shape and an elongated pour spout which has a fancy raised design on the bottom. There are cobalt blue designs of flowers as well as leaves around the exterior as well as in the inside rim of the spout. This item is in sturdy shape with normal use wear, has some glaze wear, a few small flecks, soiling/stains and it has a hairline in the handle as seen in our photo. Give it a cleaning and it will make a fancy, retro way to serve your guests their cream or milk at those special occasions.

Maximum Bidding

To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"

**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.

**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
